Butler had the top five finishers and held seven of the top eight spots in Tuesday's Big Four Classic at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
Crooked Stick has played host to the 1991 PGA Championship, 2005 Solheim Cup, 2009 U.S. Senior Open, and the BMW Championship in both 2012 and 2016. And annually, the course welcomes the Bulldogs along with several other Indiana colleges.
Senior
Lauren Tibbets captured the individual title with a one-over 73. She was three shots in front of teammate and second-place finisher
Ally Ross (four-over 76). Tibbets had three birdies on her card Tuesday.
Megan Skoog and
Claire Edwards tied for third with matching scores of 80 (+8).
Katelyn Le finished fifth after carding an 81.
Nicole Jordan tied for sixth with a 13-over 85.
Lexy Stuckey shot an 87.
As a team, Butler shot 309 (+21). Hanover College followed in second at 365 (+77). Franklin College shot 382 (+94). DePauw had individuals playing in the field.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday when the Lady Boilermaker Invitational tees off at Purdue. That two-day tournament is the final tune-up for the Bulldogs prior to the BIG EAST Championships April 19-21.
