Butler will open the 2019-20 season with a pair of exhibitions against local opponents. The Bulldogs will host IU-Kokomo Saturday, Oct. 26 before closing the preseason portion of the schedule Friday, Nov. 1 when the University of Indianapolis visits Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The two exhibitions lead into the previously-announced regular season opener against IUPUI Nov. 6. The remainder of the Bulldogs' non-conference opponents will be announced over the coming weeks.

The exhibition against IU-Kokomo on Oct. 26 will be part of Homecoming Weekend on the Butler campus. The weekend includes a Saturday afternoon football game against Jacksonville. Butler's volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer teams will also be in action over the course of the weekend.

IU-Kokomo advanced to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Championships for the first time in program history last season, posting a 26-8 record. Butler alum Roosevelt Jones is an assistant coach on the Cougars' staff. Jones starred at Butler (2011-2016), ranking 11^th in career points on Butler's all-time list.

The University of Indianapolis went 19-10 during the 2018-19 campaign. The Greyhounds last visited Hinkle Fieldhouse for an exhibition prior to the 2012-13 season.

Butler, coming off its fifth consecutive postseason appearance, returns four starters for the 2019-20 season. That includes All-BIG EAST guard Kamar Baldwin.

Butler's home schedule includes all nine BIG EAST rivals as well as a visit to Hinkle Fieldhouse by Florida and a Big Ten opponent as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games.
