Stephen Dennis scored the game-winning touchdown vs. IWU on a four-yard rush. It was his first rushing attempt of his career.
- Butler played in an overtime game on Saturday for the first time since 2016 (at Campbell 9/24/16).

Brad Sznajder now has five 100+ yard rushing games in his BU career. He has scored one TD in all five of those contests.
- Sznajder ranks fourth in the PFL in rushing yards per game (86.0).

Sam Brown went 15-for-17 in the second half. He ended the contest with 251 passing yards and two touchdowns.

- Butler's first offensive TD of the season was a pass from Brown to
Nate Rusk. It doubled as Rusk's first TD of his career.

Drew Dingman ranks third in the PFL in punt average (37.1).
- Butler lost three fumbles vs. IWU, but made two interceptions in the third quarter to help win that frame 7-0.
SCOUTING TAYLOR: Taylor ended last year with a 3-7 overall record and are now 0-1 after their first contest of 2019. The Trojans are led by Ron Korfmacher who enters his 12th season as the head coach. Korfmacher is the program's all-time wins leader.
The Trojans return Spencer Crisp to their offense. Crisp led Taylor with 666 rushing yards last year and scored four touchdowns. On the edge, Taylor is led by Evan Guckenberger. The 6-1 senior had eight catches for 111 yards and a touchdown against Robert Morris in the season opener. The Trojans have a new quarterback this year as Zac Saltzberger takes over for Everett Pollard. Saltzberger started the season with 299 total yards and a passing touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Trojans return their leading tackler from last season in linebacker Jackson Bronkema. Helping in the huddle on defense is TJ Swore, who was fourth on the team in tackles last year while leading the team with six tackles for loss.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Butler is 8-0 against Taylor. The last meeting came in 2018 at Taylor, with the Bulldogs posting a 31-17 win. The first meeting came in 1965 under the direction of head coach Tony Hinkle. BU won that game 41-6.
This is the fifth consecutive year for Butler and Taylor to meet on the gridiron. BU is averaging 33 ppg during that span; Taylor is averaging 13.
LAST YEAR VS. TAYLOR: Butler rushed for 250 yards last year at Taylor to post a 31-17 victory. BU led 17-3 at the half and would add two rushing TD's in the second half to earn improve to 2-0.
Luke Sennett was the leader of the defense with a team-high 12 tackles.
Brad Sznajder's first 100+ yard rushing performance came at Taylor last year. He rushed 26 times for 163 yards and one TD.
PICKED OFF: Mickey Kane and
Devin Aguilar each recorded an interception against Indiana Wesleyan. It was Kane's first interception of his career and Aguilar's second.
The 2019 home opener marked the first game where the BU defense had more than one interception since 2017 (3 at Stetson, Nov. 4).
FIRST SACK: Joe Zuccari blitzed off the edge to record the first sack of the 2019 season for Butler.
GET A PUSH: Butler recorded six tackles for loss in their win over Indiana Wesleyan.
Dan DelGrosso led the way with two.
Butler broke up eight passes vs. the Wildcats and were credited with two QB hurries.
HUTH HAULS IN TD: Brad Huth scored a touchdown on a pass from
Sam Brown to tie the game at 17-17 in the third quarter. The six-yard pass was the second TD of Huth's career.
Brad Huth ended the game with five catches for 40 yards. His longest reception was a 16-yard grab.
DUAL THREAT: Sam Brown threw for 251 yards in the win over IWU, but he also made some plays with his legs. Brown rushed nine times for 46 yards.
Brown rushed for 16 yards on a third and two play in the second quarter. His longest run of the game was good for 20 yards near the end of the first quarter.
GET TO THE BOWL: 5,255 fans watched Butler defeat Indiana Wesleyan in overtime at the Sellick Bowl on Sept. 7. Last year's attendance average at home games was just under 3,000.
The highest attended home game from the 2018 season was the home opener vs. Princeton (4,527).
IT'S GOOD: Drew Bevelhimer hit a 28-yard FG in the win over Indiana Wesleyan. It marked the first three points of the game for BU.
Bevelhimer has made 38 field goals in his career, the most of any Bulldog.
UP NEXT: Butler will play at Princeton on Saturday, Sept. 21. The Tigers were a Top-25 team in the preseason poll, but are now just receiving votes. The game on Sept. 21 will go down as the season opener for Princeton.
