The Bulldogs stand in sixth place after the first 36 holes of the season-opening Crusader Collegiate.
Tuesday's final 18 holes will have golfers off the first and tenth tees with start times scheduled 7:30-9 a.m. (Central).
Wright State holds the 36-hole lead with a score of nine-under 567. That gives the Raiders a six-shot advantage over host Valparaiso in the 15-team field.
Butler carded a team score of 296 in the opening round before following that with a 293 in the afternoon. The score of 589 (+13) is 10 shots behind third-place Loyola Chicago.
Michael Cascino is the top Bulldog on the leaderboard as his rounds of 73 and 72 have him at one-over 145. He is tied for 15
th.
Senior
Patrick Allgeier opened with a one-under 71 and now stands T-18
th at 146 (+2).
Raymond Sullivan (148; +4) is tied for 25
th. In his first event as a Bulldog, freshman
Luke Wells fired back-to-back 75s. He is tied for 40
th at six-over 150.
Sophomore
Michael Tanaka, also playing in his first event for Butler, is at nine-over 153 after his 36 holes.
Michael Denner, playing as an individual, is tied for 25
th with Sullivan at 148 (+4). Both Sullivan and Denner shot a one-under 71 in the second round.
Wright State's Mikkel Mathieson holds the individual lead after rounds of 69 and 67. He is at eight-under 136, which is four shots clear of Valparaiso's Charlie Toman.
Butler is one shot ahead of BIG EAST foe DePaul. The Blue Demons are seventh at 509 (+14).
Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Ind., is set up as a 6,972-yard, par 72 course. Eighty-nine players are entered in the event.
