INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs recorded their third win of the season with a 3-0 sweep over Belmont (25-21, 25-20, 25-22), but would end the weekend with 3-1 setback to LMU (25-17, 25-20, 26-24, 25-12).
Brooke Gregory led BU in the win over Belmont. The senior middle blocker came up huge with 15 kills, posting a .500 attack percentage.
Melody Davidson was also a force in the middle with 10 kills and six blocks.
Megan Ramseyer set up the action with 39 assists. She came around with a double-double by adding 10 digs. The dig leader for BU in the early match was once again
Elizabeth LaBue with 18.
In the nightcap, Butler dropped a decision to LMU in four sets. Gregory and
Anna Logan led the way offensively accumulating 21 of Butler's 34 kills. Ramseyer was credited with 31 assists and the defensive load would be shared by LaBue and
Emma Milstead with 20 kills each.
BIG EAST action will open up next with Butler playing at Marquette on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The BIG EAST home opener will follow on Oct. 2 when the 'Dawgs host DePaul.
