Butler has added a pair of standouts to the program as its next recruiting class. Henry Quinn and Damon Dickey will join the Bulldogs for the 2021-22 season. Butler men's golf coach Bill Mattingly made the announcement after the future Bulldogs signed national letters of intent in November.
 
"I'm excited to have Damon and Henry join us in the fall of 2021," said Mattingly. "Both played well in high school and had excellent summer seasons. I believe they will be able to continue to improve during their college careers. They are both great students and have all the qualities we look for in good teammates."
 
Quinn plays at John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Ill. He won Illinois High School Association regional championships in both 2019 and 2020, leading to team championships as well. Quinn was an IHSA 3A state finals qualifier in 2019. He posted an impressive scoring average of 73.1 during the 2020 season. The 2019 Conference Player of the Year is a three-time all-conference selection, while also being named Team MVP three times.
 
In addition to his high school achievements, Quinn also played seventh at the 2020 Illinois State Junior Amateur and was runner-up at the 2020 IJGA Player of the Year Championship.
 
Quinn is a two-time team captain and an honor roll student.
 
Dickey will make the short trip to the Butler campus from nearby Franklin, Ind. He was an All-State honoree as a sophomore in 2019, twice earning all-conference and all-county recognition. Dickey qualified for the state tournament as well.
 
His round of 66 is a record for Franklin Community High School and tied the conference tournament record. He won the 2019 Mid-State Conference championship and the 2018 Johnson County title. As a sophomore in 2019, he posted a scoring average of 73.3.
 
The National Honors Society member has a GPA above 4.0 and also plays basketball for Franklin.
