The Butler men's tennis team faced their second BIG EAST match up of the season on Sunday, falling 6-1 to St. John's in Indianapolis, Ind. The loss put Butler at 1-1 on the weekend, after sweeping IUPUI the day before.
In doubles, St. John's won the No. 3 and No. 1 flights to claim the first point. The Red Storm also led in the No. 2 flight when the No. 1 pair clinched the doubles series.
In singles, St. John's went on to take five of six singles.
Filip Tensing was the only Bulldog to earn a singles victory, winning 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 4 flight.
Olof Wiklund put up a strong showing in the No. 5 flight, going to 15-13 in break points in a third set.
Next up, the Bulldogs begin a four-game road swing, starting with two matches Nashville, Tenn. against Lipscomb and Belmont.
