The Butler men's tennis team moved to 7-2 on the season after downing Illinois State 5-2 on Saturday at the Butler Bubble.

The Bulldogs got started by claiming the doubles point. The No. 3 team of
Alvaro Huete Vadillo/
Zach Trimpe won 6-2 to put Butler on the board.

Ryan Roegner fell 2-6 in the No. 2 flight, leaving the top flight to determine the first point.

Olof Wiklund took the No. 1 flight, 6-4, for the advantage heading into singles.

Brennan, Huete and
Filip Tensing went on to sweep the top three spots of singles play. Brennan's three-set victory (6-7, 6-1, 6-2) was the determining set to give the Dawgs the win. Huete, Tensing, and
Michael Karr all won in straight sets in the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 flights, respectively.

Butler will return to the Bubble tomorrow, Feb. 9, to face Indianapolis and Indiana Tech. The Bulldogs and Greyhounds will meet at 10 a.m., followed by a 6 p.m. start against the Warriors.
