The Bulldogs closed out a two-game weekend in Nashville, Tenn., falling 2-4 to Belmont on Sunday, March 1.
Filip Tensing lead the way for Butler as the only Bulldog to pick up singles wins against both Belmont and Lipscomb.
Butler started the match with a doubles point win. The team of Tensing/
Olof Wiklund fell in the No. 2 flight, but the Bulldogs responded with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 flights.

Zach Trimpe won at No. 3 (6-3).
In singles, Belmont took the reins of the match, winning the No. 3, No. 2, and No. 1 matches to go up 3-1. Brennan and Huete stretched the No. 1 and No. 2 sets to three games, but were unable to clinch the sets.
Tensing battled in the No. 4 set after falling 2-6 in the first. The freshman came back to win the next two sets 6-3, 7-6 (6).
Tensing's win was the only Bulldogs win in singles as Belmont clinched the match with a straight set win in the No. 5 flight.
Ryan Roegner led 4-1 in the No. 6 flights when the No. 5 spot finished.
The Bulldogs will have the next two weeks off before heading to San Antonio, Texas over spring break. Butler will face Incarnate word on Thursday, March 12 and University of Texas-San Antonio on Saturday, March 14.
