TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Bulldogs traveled to Indiana State on Saturday for their second meet of the 2021 spring season.
Abigail Roberts had a very strong performance for Butler. She anchored the 200 Medley Relay team that came in third, she also was a part of the 400 Free Relay team that placed second. Roberts placed third individually in the 50 Free and 100 Free.
"The team responded well with the fast pace of the meet, and we came ready to race a strong Indiana State team today," head coach
Maurice Stewart said. "Our captains' leadership, team spirit and team cohesiveness is strong right now, and it carried over into our racing and in season performance."

Rachel Geller both broke one minute, placing third (59.32) and fourth (59.59), respectively.

Emily Landwehr got second place at 1:06.95,
Alexa Vota and
Abigail Nebot also placed for Butler. Vota came in fourth at 1:09.08 and Nebot came in fifth at 1:12.66.
200 Fly
Annah Van Gheem came in third with a 2:12.07 time,
Emma Harris came in fifth with 2:14.01, and
Jill Dawson came in sixth with 2:14.09.
50 Free
Abigail Roberts got third with 24.54,
Emily Landwehr got fifth with 25.58, and
Alexa Vota came in seventh with 26.25.
100 Free
Abigail Roberts and
Emily Landwehr placed for Butler getting third (54.45) and sixth (54.73), respectively.
200 Back
Rachel Geller and
Megan Hanson both placed, getting fourth (2:13.03) and sixth (2:23.00), respectively.

Alexa Vota came in second at 2:27.50,
Allie Carmichael came in fourth at 2:28.75, and
Abigail Nebot came in fifth at 2:37.52.
500 Free
Emma Harris and
Cami McGrady both placed, getting sixth (5:30.74) and seventh (6:03.85), respectively.
100 Fly
Jill Dawson took second, swimming a 1:00.09,
Annah Van Gheem took third at 1:02.89, and
Claire Mastrandrea took fourth at 1:04.42.
400 IM
This was a strong event for the Bulldogs as they had swimmers at second through fifth place.
Allie Carmichael came in second (4:38.59),
Grace Crane came in third (4:47.37),
Olivia Allen came in fourth (4:56.62), and
Alexis Faith came in fifth (4:57.58).
400 Free Relay
