The Bulldogs finished the Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville with a fourth-place finish.

Southern Illinois jumped from fourth after the first round to the team title in the six-team field. The Bulldogs held a three-shot lead over Evansville for the 18-hole lead.

The Bulldogs shot a team score of 319 (+35) Monday on the 6,050-yard Jacksonville Beach Golf Club course. Butler followed that with a 323 (+39) total on Tuesday in the final round.

Southern Illinois' 36-hole score of 631 was nine strokes better than Evansville (640). The Purple Aces, third-place Eastern Michigan (641), and Butler (642) were separated by only three shots.

Ally Ross led the Bulldogs with rounds of 78 and 79 to finish in a tie for fifth at 157 (+15). Evansville's Sophie Rohleder took medalist honors with a total of nine-over 151. She was one shot better than Eastern Michigan's Olivia Loberg.

Katelyn Le finished ninth at 157 (+17) after a round of 79 Tuesday. Megan Skoog shot rounds of 81 on both days to finish at 162 and alone in ninth. Claire Edwards was one shot back and finished in a tie for tenth. The Bulldogs' Rayna Oosterhuis finished 22^nd at 169.

Lexy Stuckey, playing as an individual, shot 170 for 23^rd.

The Bulldogs return to action later this month at the Colonel Classic, hosted by Eastern Kentucky University.
