GENEVA, Ohio – The Butler women's swim team recorded 202 points at the 2021 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships this year. The 'Dawgs sent multiple student-athletes to the finals on Saturday to top 200 points at the Championship Meet for the fourth-straight season.
Freshman
Grace Crane continued to impress those in attendance at the Spire Institute on Saturday. She finished 11th in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 17:47.73, the third-fastest time in BU history!
Olivia Allen (18:48.09),
Mattea Dumdey (18:53.91) and
Colleen Carey (19:04.90) also scored points for BU in the event.
Annah Van Gheem and
Emma Harris reached the finals in the 200 Yard Butterfly on Saturday. Van Gheem landed in ninth place with a time of 2:05.56 and Harris collected 15th (2:09.97).
Alexa Vota represented Butler in the 200 Yard Breaststroke final. She placed 14th with a time of 2:24.37.
Rachel Geller was the top BU performer in the 200 Backstroke. She earned 15th place, touching the wall at 2:06.33.
BU finished sixth in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
