Women's All-BIG EAST
In an announcement made by the BIG EAST on Thursday (May 20), a total of 18 Bulldogs received BIG EAST honors following the Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
A total of 144 student-athletes across eight schools were named to the All-BIG EAST Team. On the list were 74 men and 70 women, including 35 (17 men, 18 women) who earned all-conference recognition in multiple events.
Butler's 12 men and six women earned the recognition by placing in the top three of a championship event.
Tom Pitkin was the only Bulldog to receive conference honors in two events, as he took second in the men's 400-meter hurdles and was part of the men's 4x400-meter relay team that also finished second.
Included among Butler's All-BIG EAST honors are top performers
Barry Keane, the 10,000-meter champion;
Niki Ezeh, the 100-meter hurdle champion; and
Karmen Koch, who won the women's heptathlon.
