Katie Soderstrom earned second team honors as part of the 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches Women's NCAA Division I Scholar All-America Team. The education major boasts a 3.99 GPA.

Soderstrom continues to pick up United Soccer Coaches accolades after being honored earlier this week with Women's Scholar All-Region Teams for NCAA Division I.
Soderstrom earned All-BIG EAST honors after leading Butler to the conference tournament, resulting in an appearance in the title match.
Soderstrom recorded six goals and five assists for Butler this season, bringing her career total to 16 in both categories. The junior forward earned All-BIG EAST First Team accolades and was selected as a First Team All-Region earlier this month.
To be eligible for Scholar All-America recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
- 3.40 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
- Started more than 50 percent of all games (minimum of seven games) during the season of nomination and be an elite player as supported by playing honors (ie. all-conference) and/or contributions to their team.Â
- Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
- Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school
