The Butler men's tennis team fell to Cleveland State, 4-3, before taking down Findlay, 4-0, in Saturday's doubleheader. The results move Butler to 5-4 on the season. 
 
The Bulldogs earned the doubles point against the Vikings. Nicolas Arts and Borja Miralles took their set at the No. 2 spot 6-2. Patrick Joss and Rahulniket Konakanchi teamed up to close out the point with a close 7-6 win as the No. 3 duo. 
 
Cleveland State won four of the six singles matchups to take the win. The No. 1 saw Thomas Brennan win in two sets, both in a 7-5 fashion. Patrick Joss also won for the Bulldogs at the No. 6 in straight sets. 
 
Again, Butler won the doubles point to start their match against Findlay with Miralles and Arts beating their opponents 6-2, this time in the No. 1 position. Brennan and Zach Trimpe clinched the point with their own 6-2 victory. 
 
Three singles points for Butler finalized the 4-0 score line. Miralles, Michael Karr, and Konakanchi all had strong performances and won without dropping a set. Joss and Aidan William both held a small lead when their matches went unfinished. 
 
Butler returns to action next Friday, Feb. 10 when they travel to take on in-state opponents, Ball State.
