The Butler men's tennis team was victorious in their home match against Bellarmine on Thursday. The Bulldogs won 5-2 to move their record to 10-6.
The doubles point went Butler's way, giving them the early lead. The duo of
Alvaro Huete Vadillo and
Thomas Brennan won comfortably in the No. 1.
Rahulniket Konakanchi and
Patrick Joss secured the point at the No. 3 position.
Huete Vadillo, Joss, and Konakanchi each defeated their opponents in singles play as well. The trio earned points for Butler at the No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 courts, all winning in straight-set fashion.
Aidan William won his first set, dropped the second, and then edged out a tiebreaker to take the Bulldog's fifth point.
Up next, the team travels to Nashville for a Saturday double header with Lipscomb and Vanderbilt.
