With the win, Boise State advances to a Saturday semifinal against either Georgetown or Nebraska. Butler's season ends at 15-20.

KEY STRETCH: An early run proved to be decisive as Boise State's 10-0 spurt turned a 23-23 tie into a 33-23 advantage with 8:59 remaining in the first half. Butler would never cut the lead to fewer than five the rest of the way.

- Boise State shot 60 percent from the field, including an 11-for-24 performance from three-point range (46 percent).
- Javan Buchanan came off the bench to lead Boise State with 27 points, making 11 of his 13 attempts from the field.

- Bizjack's career-high 30 points for Butler included 6-for-9 shooting from three-point range and a perfect 8-for-8 night at the free throw line.
- Freshman Evan Haywood and sophomore Boden Kapke each set a new career-best with 14 points apiece.
- The 93 points scored by Butler were the second-most this season by the Bulldogs. Butler surrendered 100 points in a game for the first time since an overtime loss to UIC on March 2, 1996.
- Butler's 55 points scored in the second half were a season-high; the 52 points allowed to Boise State in the second half were a season-high for a Butler opponent.
- Butler's 13 made three-pointers tied the season-high set Monday night in the win over Utah.
