UConn collected two wins against Butler on Saturday afternoon winning 18-4 in game one and 11-6 in game two. The Bulldogs are now 14-36 overall while the Huskies improve to 32-18.

Game one got away from Butler early as UConn scored six in the first inning. Three more in the fourth followed by five in the seventh led to the 18-4 victory.

First baseman Grant MacArthur had seven RBIs going 3-for-4 from the plate with a grand slam. Sam Biller added four RBIs and Ryan Daniels had three.

Jack Moroknek and
Ryan Drumm had doubles on the day for BU. Starter
Andrew Hendrickx took the loss. He gave up six earned runs off four hits. Relief pitcher
Tre Benjamin took care of the next 4.2 innings and
Aidan Hatcher tossed the final two.

In game two, each team scored three runs in the first inning, but the home team would add two more in the third, fourth, and sixth to get the win.

Tommy Townsend hit a three-run home run in the first, but Ryan Daniels would get those three runs back in the bottom half of the inning with a bomb. Daniels returned to the plate in the third to hit a two-run homer and the Huskies would lead 10-4 after seven.

Butler tried to make some noise late, but didn't get any closer than 10-6. Daniels had seven RBIs in the nightcap and Tommy Ellisen would collect his fifth win on the mound.

The loss went to
Marcus Goodpaster (3-5). He was one of three 'Dawgs to touch the rubber. Goodpaster was tagged with seven earned runs over five innings.
Nate Rosser got the next four outs and
Simon Linde closed out the game.
