Late Drake Goal Produces Draw with Butler

INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler women's soccer team never trailed through 89 minutes of Sunday match with Drake, but a goal by the visitors in the final minute led to a 1-1 draw. Butler (3-1-3) scored in the 24th minute and held a commanding lead in shots through the first half of play. Drake (3-3-3) turned up the pressure the entire second half and finally eliminated the deficit with a tying goal in the final seconds.

  • 24' | Talia Sommer carries up the center of the field and finds Norah Jacomen advancing on the right side. Jacomen makes a move to her left, and her left-footed shot slide just inside the right post. Butler takes a 1-0 lead.
