The Bulldogs open the 2017 spring schedule Saturday, hosting Wisconsin-Green Bay at 11:30 a.m. at the Butler Tennis Bubble. The match is the only home action for Butler until Dayton visits on Feb. 4.
Coach Parker Ross's team is talented, but young.
Mikheil Khmiadashvili and
Alex Woldmoe are the team's two seniors, with the remainder of the roster being exclusively sophomores and freshmen.
Aviv Ben Shabat will play near the top of the line-up after transferring to Butler from UNC-Wilmington.
Mason Dragos earned BIG EAST Newcomer of the Year honors last season and will help to anchor a Butler team that looks to climb in the BIG EAST rankings this season.
Sophomores
Temilope Adelakun,
Ari Gerstein,
Spencer Lang and
Adrian Mag, along with freshman
Samuel Sullivan will all see action as the Butler line-up features tremendous depth.
Butler's season will culminate at the BIG EAST Championships April 27-30 in Cayce, S.C.
