SCOUTING STETSON: The Hatters are 5-1 in PFL action with their lone setback coming at San Diego 49-10. They pulled out close wins vs. Marist (19-14), Drake (23-21), Jacksonville (38-35), and Davidson (56-53) to climb up to second in the PFL standings. Their last game was a 48-24 win at home over Morehead State. Stetson has one of the top offenses in the PFL this season. QB Colin McGovern ranks second in the league in passing yards per game (271.9) and TE Donald Parham leads the PFL in receiving yards per game (135.9). The team leader is WR Steven Burdette with 10. No one player stands out on the Hatter defense, but the unit ranks second in the league in pass defense (198.5). 12 different players have a sack and six different student-athletes have at least one interception.
Matias Gasc was named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week. He averaged 44.3 yards on seven punts for the Hatters.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Butler is 3-0 vs. Stetson. The first meeting between the two programs was played in 2013 with Butler posting a 35-15 victory. A year later, BU would win on the road 49-41. After a two-year hiatus, Butler traveled down to Stetson to record a 23-6 win over the Hatters in 2017.
Stetson joined the PFL in 2013. PFL teams only play eight league games per year and with 10 members in 2015 and 2016, teams would only face eight of the 10 members explaining why Butler and Stetson did not play during that time.
LAST MEETING: Butler scored 23 unanswered points to win at Stetson last year 23-6. The Hatters scored first, but the Butler defense would settle in and decide the outcome. Butler returned two interceptions for touchdowns and added a safety early in the fourth quarter to take control.
Butler's only offensive touchdown last year at Stetson came on a five-yard run from RB Anthony Scaccia.
ALL-TIME GREAT: Pace Temple caught 12 passes for a career-high 196 yards at Jacksonville to become the Butler's all-time career leader in receiving yards (3,123). The old recorded belonged to Zach Watkins (2,994). Temple joined Watkins as just the second player in school history to catch more than 200 passes in his Bulldog career (209).
Temple became the seventh PFL player to reach 3,000 career receiving yards.
MARTY MAKES HIS MARK: QB
Will Marty continues to climb the all-time passing list at Butler. Marty heads into Saturday with 4,977 career passing yards, the fifth-highest total in school history. He is now 492 yards shy of fourth place (Matt Lancaster '12-'13).
Marty set season-high totals in yards (425) and completions (29) at Jacksonville. TD passes went to Pace Temple and Thomas Baldwin. Marty also rushed for two scores.
SENNETT SETS NEW CAREER-HIGH AT JACKSONVILLE: Luke Sennett will attempt to become the first Bulldog to reach 100 total tackles in a single-season since 2012. Sennett recorded a career-high 17 tackles at Jacksonville last week to move his season total to 93. The last Bulldog to reach 100 tackles was LB Jordan Ridley (101).
Sennett has reached a double figure tackle total in five of BU's nine games this year.
STUFF THE RUN: Butler didn't allow a single rushing first down last year when they faced Stetson. The Hatters ended the game with -21 rushing yards.

Gasc averaged 41.9 (293).
Giebel's career average on 87 total punts is 38.5 yards. The school record is 39.5 (Shawn Wood, 1995-98).

Temple has 20 receiving touchdowns in his career, his longest catch as a Bulldog came last week (54 yards).
ITS GOOD: Drew Bevelhimer has made 33 field goals during his Bulldog career, just three shy of the all-time career school record. The BU record currently belongs to David Lang who hit 35 field goals from 2008-11.
