Butler redshirt freshman
Brendan Hicks earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors after scoring a pair of goals in the Bulldogs' 3-1 win at Providence on Friday night. The conference office made the announcement Monday (Oct. 7).
Â
The weekly honor is the first of Hicks' career.
Wilmer Cabrera, Jr., also picked up Freshman of the Week honors Sept. 16.
Â
Hicks scored in the 48th and 71st minutes of Friday's contest. The goals were not only his first two career goals, but also came on his first two career shots. His first goal was the game-tying goal in the match. Hicks' four-point performance tied for BIG EAST lead last week.

Â
The Bulldogs will step out of conference play Tuesday night, hosting Akron at the Sellick Bowl.
