Tibbets Leads @ButlerUGolf Women at Bobby Nichols Invitational

The Butler women finished 10th after 54 holes played over three days at the Bobby Nichols Invitational, hosted by Tennessee Tech. The course featured a par-72 on the 6,913-yard course. The invitational took place March 17-19, with teams playing three rounds of 18 holes.

The Bulldogs shot a 966 (+114) to take the tenth spot, shooting a 323 the first round, 327 second round, and 316 the final day of competition. Lauren Tibbets paced Butler with a 231 (+18) to finish tied for 21st.

Samford took the top spot in the team competition, shooting an 877 (+25). Marshall finished just one stroke behind to take second. Eastern Kentucky took the third spot with a 885 (+33).

Katelyn Le followed Tibbets, finishing tied for 43d with a 241 (+28). Ally Ross was just five strokes behind to tie for 51st. Megan Skoog (T55, 249) and Claire Edwards (62nd, 255) rounded out the Bulldog scoring five. Nicole Jordan played as an individual, finishing tied for 59th with a 252 (+39).

Samford's Emily Uhland took first with a 215 (+2) after the three rounds. Marshall's Shelby Brauckmuller (216, +3) and Jacki Schmidt (217, +4) took second and third, respectively.

Butler returns to action on April 1, hosting the Butler Spring Invitational.
