The Bulldogs enjoyed another successful weekend, competing in the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational, hosted by Louisville. The meet was highlighted by a win in the 400-meter hurdles for Allie Vogeler, and a first place finish for Johnny Leverenz in the 800 meters.

Vogeler took the win in the 400-meter hurdles after clocking a time of 59.18 to finish ahead of Virginia Tech's Imagine Patterson, who crossed the line in 1:00.75. Vogeler's season-best time of 58.87 is currently the top time in the BIG EAST for the 400-meter hurdles.

Leverenz crossed the line in 1:52.24 to take the top spot in the 800 meters, finishing ahead of Eastern Kentucky's Nickson Rotich (1:52.71) and Lindenwood's Samuel Yaro (1:53.33). Leverenz currently sits at 8^th in the BIG EAST, with his time of 1:50.59 clocked at the Black and Gold Invitational.

Chandler McGaha also had a solid finish in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:54.12 to take sixth.

Sophomore Lily Hess broke her own school record in the 200 meters, just a week after setting it. Her time of 24.62 beat the previous record she set (24.69) at the Bryan Clay Invitational, and earned her 13^th overall. Rebecca Collester finished 17^th in the 200, clocking a time of 24.82 and landing her third on the Butler all-time list.

Carson Fields (25.75), Madeline Miller (26.89), and Angela Neddeau (27.17) also competed in the 200 meters for the Bulldogs.

The 4x100 team of Hess, Collester, Fields, and Vogeler tied their school record of 46.32 at Louisville, finishing third. The team from Southern Illinois took the top spot in 44.89.

Personal bests were also set at Lyles/Wood Invitational, with Colton Haymon running a 10.91 (+4.0 wind) in the 100 meters. Tim Vestuto also competed in the 100 meters, crossing the line in 11.01.

On the women's side, Miller ran a personal best 58.85 In the 400 meters, finishing second in section four and 25^th overall. Angela Neddeau also raced in the 400, finishing in 1:00.98.

Niki Ezeh was the other Bulldog to clock a personal best, finishing in 14.56 in the 100-meter hurdles. Nina Hilt (15.32), Ariel Higgins (15.55), and McKenzie Greene (15.72) were the other three Bulldog representatives in the 100-meter hurdles.

On the men's side of the 110-meter hurdles, Garret Kern finished in 15.81, followed by Richard Clark in 15.97. Luke Hofrichter also competed for the Bulldogs, finishing in 16.82.

Jacob Uhl continued his successful sophomore campaign, finishing second in section two of the 400 meters with a time of 48.78, which was good for 10^th overall. He also ran in the 200 meters, finishing in 22.24, with Haymon finishing just after in a time of 22.26.

In the field, Liam Kahn's javelin throw of 53.84m (176-7) earned him third place at Louisville and 10^th all-time in Butler history. Luke Russell finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 7.02m, followed by Sam Robinson in seventh with a jump of 6.74m.

 A week after setting the Butler school record in the decathlon, Wade Walder finished ninth overall in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 55.52. Jake Bowers also competed for Butler, finishing in 59.21. Western Kentucky's Maor Seged won the event in 52.26.

Two Bulldogs saw success in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, with a second place finish for Clark Otte and a third place finish for Angelina Ellis. Otte clocked a time of 8:58.99, moving him into the number 10 spot in the Butler record books. He finished just over a second behind Louisville's Albert Kosegei, who finished in 8:57.30 for the top spot

Ellis crossed the line in 10:51.55 to take the third spot. Xavier's Jennie Prial was the top finisher in 10:43.85, followed by Loyola's Rita Maurais (10:45.29).

Daniel Lawton made his steeplechase debut in Louisville, finishing with a time of 9:31.31, good for second in section two and 10^th overall.

The Bulldogs will compete in their final meet before the BIG EAST Championships next weekend, racing in the Billy Hayes Invitational, hosted by Indiana, on May 3.
