INDIANAPOLIS – Head Coach Jeff Voris will welcome back three-year starter Drew Bevelhimer at kicker and preseason all-conference pick Mason Brunner at long snapper. A full picture of the special teams unit includes Drew Dingman at punter, Kavon Samuels as a kickoff return man and Brad Sznajder at punt returner.
 
Kickers
Drew Bevelhimer is one of the best kickers in the history of the program. In 2017, the Indianapolis product set a single-season school record by hitting 16 field goals. Last year, he became the career leader in made field goals at BU with 36 successful tries.
 
Bevelhimer was tabbed All-Pioneer Football League Second Team in 2018. He went 8-for-9 on field goals and would help BU post a road win at Youngstown State with a 44-yard game-winner with just four seconds to play on the game clock.
 
BU fans will recognize the entire field goal unit with Brunner back at long snapper and Cameron Towns penciled in as the holder. Ryan Perkins is listed as the backup long snapper while Luke Sennett hangs onto the backup role as a holder.
 
Punters
The 'Dawgs will have a new punter this season in Drew Dingman. The redshirt-sophomore will make his collegiate debut after averaging 38 yards per punt in high school. BU freshmen Ben Packer and Luka Zurak also have the ability to either punt or kick for BU in 2019.
 
Punt Return
Returning punts for BU in 2019 will be running back Brad Sznajder and cornerback Devin Aguilar. Those two players were responsible for all six returns in 2018.
 
Kick Return
The top two names on the kickoff return team are Kavon Samuels and AJ Deinhart. Samuels led the team in returns during his freshman season with 20. He covered 421 yards, averaging 21.0 yards per return. Deinhart only had one return, going for 21 yards.
