The Bulldogs closed out its annual Spring Break trip Thursday with the LadyCat Invitational, hosted by Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Butler posted an eighth-place finish in the 12-team field.
Megan Skoog paced the Bulldogs with rounds of 76 and 80 to finish at 156 and in a tie for 28
th. Teammates
Ally Ross and
Katelyn Le were one shot back at 157, finishing in a tie for 32
nd.
Emma Kelly (159; T-40
th) and
Claire Edwards (178; T-58
th) rounded out the Butler scoring five.
Nicole Jordan, playing as an individual, also placed in a tie for 58
th (178).
Troy took home the team title with a 36-hole total of 588. They were six shots clear of host Bethune-Cookman (594). Keiser finished third. Butler, in placing eighth, shot 322 in the first round and 307 in the second round Thursday, for a total of 629. A final round scheduled for Friday was canceled.
Seventy-one players were in the field.
In turned out to be the Bulldogs' final competition of the season as spring seasons nationally were canceled due to the coronavirus.
