Butler women's soccer enters the toughest portion of the 2021 schedule, beginning a four-game road swing this week. The Bulldogs (6-0, 3-0) will travel to Creighton (0-3, 0-2) on Thursday, March 18 before visiting DePaul (2-2, 1-2) on Sunday, March 21. Kick-off against the Bluejays is set for 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT, while the game against the Blue Demons is set for 1 p.m. ET / Noon CT at Wish Field.

Bulldog Bits:
- Stephanie Rodriguez posted her third shutout of the year against Xavier, moving her career total to 12, which puts the keeper into sole possession of third place on the Butler all-time career shutout list
- Rodriguez earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors for her two-game showing. She has helped the Bulldogs post a 0.67 GAA so far this season
- Teammate Abby Isger earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after a three-point week that featured an assist on the game-winner against Marquette and her first career goal in the win over Xavier.
- After notching another score on Sunday, Anja Savich currently leads the Big East in goals (7) and points (15)
- Katie Soderstrom is second overall in the BIG EAST in points (12) and is tied for first in the conference for assists (4)
- Savich and Soderstrom are the only two players in conference who have notched a hat trick this season
- Freshman Alli Leonard is tied for first in the conference in game winning goals with two.
- 12 different Bulldogs have scored at least one goal so far this season.
- As a team, Butler is averaging 4.83 goals per game.
- Butler holds the all-time series lead against Creighton with an overall record of 9-1-1 and trails DePaul in the all-time series with a record of 3-5-2, with Butler's last victory over the Blue Demons coming earlier this season

Last Time Out
The Bulldogs collected a two-win week to move to 6-0, 3-0 on the year, starting with a 1-0 win over Marquette on Thursday, March 11. Isger sent a perfect corner kick towards the box in the 83rd minute that Claire Farrington headed in for the game-winner.Â
The last match saw Butler handle Xavier 4-0 at the Sellick Bowl on Sunday, March 14. The Bulldogs had four different scorers in the contest as Soderstrom, Savich, Isger, and A. Leonard all found the back of the net for the Bulldogs. Butler took a 2-0 lead into the half and doubled it in the second to walk away with their perfect record intact.Â
Rodriguez had seven saves between the two shutout wins, posting a 0.67 GAA to earn BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week.Â
Scouting Creighton:
Coming into Thursday's contest, the Bluejays are 0-3 on the year and 0-2 in conference play. The Bluejays have dropped matches against Missouri, DePaul, and Xavier with their most recent defeat coming at the hands of the Blue Demons in double overtime.

Creighton's lone goal of the season was scored by Ansley Atkinson in their double overtime loss to DePaul. Madison Radke leads the team with five shots.

Scouting DePaul:
Sunday's match-up will be the second contest of the year between the Bulldogs and Blue Demons due to the new divisional set-up of the BIG EAST. In their last meeting in Indianapolis, the Bulldogs emerged with a 3-1 win. Freshman
Alli Leonard had two goals in the match and
Becky Dean had the final score. Savich and Soderstrom each recorded an assist in the win.

Morgan Turner leads the team with two goals, including the golden goal in DePaul's most recent win over Creighton. DePaul will enter Sunday's match coming off a mid-week bye.

Women's soccer teams will play divisional schedules with six teams in the East (Connecticut, Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova) and five teams in the Midwest (Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Marquette and Xavier). The divisional teams will play home and home matches against each divisional opponent. Both schedules have two bye weeks built in for rescheduling purposes if necessary. The women's championship will be hosted at Providence, April 15-18.

Butler will have a mid-week bye before continuing their four-game road swing with a trip to Milwaukee, Wis. to face Marquette on Sunday, March 28, which will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network.

They will then have almost a week to prep for a non-traditional Saturday match-up in Cincinnati, Ohio with Xavier on April 3.
