The Bulldogs made the biggest move up the leaderboard in Monday's final round of the Wright State Invitational, jumping into a sixth-place finish.

Butler entered the final 18 holes as part of a three-way tie for 11
th in the 17-team field. The Bulldogs then fired an eight-over 292, which was by far their best round of the 54-hole event.

The host Raiders led after all three rounds and took the team title with a 54-hole total of 873 (+21). That put them 13 shots ahead of Valparaiso and Ohio, which tied for second. Butler's 54-hole total was 902 (+50). Butler followed up a Sunday morning round of 300 with an afternoon score of 310 in the first day of the event.

Michael Cascino led the Monday charge with a three-under round of 68. He entered the day in a tie for 18
th and finished in a tie for eighth. His 54-hole total was 217 (+4). His Monday 68 included six birdies and was just one of four rounds in the 60s Monday on the par-71, 7,075-yard Heatherwoode course in Springboro, Ohio. He shot rounds of 73 and 76 Sunday.

Raymond Sullivan also worked his way up the leaderboard Monday with a three-over 74. It matched his second-round score after opening the event with a 76. He finished at 224 (+11) and in a tie for 17
th. He entered the day in a tie for 21

Logan Sabins shot an opening-round 73 and followed that with an 80 Sunday. On Monday, he fired a three-over 74 to finish at 227 (+14). That was good for a tie for 29
th, which improved his position 10 spots from where he entered prior to Monday's round.

Nick Williams (78-80-80—238; +25) and
Jack Wilcox (87-81-76—244; +31) rounded out the Butler five and tied for 68
th and 78
th, respectively.

Wright State's Austin Schoonmaker and Valparaiso's Caleb VanArragon tied for medalist honors at 210 (-3).

The Bulldogs have added a Tuesday event to their schedule, as they will now participate in the annual Big Four Classic. The 2021 version will be played at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel. That will be the final tune-up for the Bulldogs prior to the BIG EAST Championships, which begin April 26 in Bowling Green, Fla.
